Make sure that the LMS file type setting for flac is set to allow flac to be 'native' (see 'Settings', 'Advanced', 'File Types') - this prevents any transcoding in LMS providing the device supports flacĢ. Why does LMS/Bridge seem to be transcoding?1. The Marantz will accept FLAC at 96khz but not PCM via the network connection. The LMS server log says this : Slim::Player::Squeezebox2::statHandler (147) Error: 00:06:78:19:01:6a: Decoder does not support file format, code 0Īlso when I play a FLAC file on the Marantz from LMS the display says it is playing PCM, with Asset it says FLAC. The 24/96 FLAC files play on my SBTouches and my Marantz will play them from Asset UPNP using its hopelessly clunky GUI but using my Squeeze controllers results in no play progress indication and silence from the Marantz. I had this all working a week or two ago and now I can't play anything above a 16/44 FLAC file. As others have said here, you can then control the Pioneer as if it was a Squeezebox device, using any one of the tools for controlling such LMS devices. This thread is about turning your Pioneer into a Squeezebox device, like a Logitech Touch or Classic. You are just using LMS as a Media Server, like many other Media Servers on the market. Doing this has nothing at all to do with the subject of this thread. LMS shows up as the 'Logitech Media Server' on your network. With the 'UPnP/DLNA Media Interface' plugin from Andy Grundman, all the LMS music files are made available to a UPnP controller, which may be your Pioneer or some other UPnP Controller. Merci.Just to try and be really clear, there are two completely different options for you here. Or do I somehow use LMS to control what the Pioneer plays? Forgive my ignorance on this. But how do I get the Pioneer controller app to "see" and play a play list? The Pioneer "sees" LMS as a media server, and I can play albums.
